In addition to knowing design you need to understand, among other things, purchasing, manufacturing, budgeting, bookkeeping, marketing, merchandising and pricing. You will not learn that in a 4 month course or the occasional business class. Most people in your business do not become successful. The more you learn and know the better your chance of being one of the few that makes it. Get all the educatio you can! You are entering a highly competitive market.
