    You my friend are playing with fire and more than that you are risking your friendships and I would think long and hard about that. You must be licenced and you need experience. Do not use friends for such a thing. If you worked for a financial institution and they came to you that would be different but you are going after them and their money…to manage it, and you ask this question to a bunch of strangers? You could end up in court or in jail. Remember Enron? They have millions and they are doing time. Come on get a real job and go into finance if you want but don’t use friends. That is just wrong.

    If things don’t go perfectly, they could sue you. You need government licensing, INSURANCE, various government fees etc. I remember a few years ago someone asked the same question and they figured out they needed at least $50,000 to $100,000 to set it all up, then many millions under management to make a living at it.
