Average Joe asked: Greetings everyone,
I’ve recently started a small business and want to be able to keep track of contacts and when I’ve communicated with them. ACT seems to be the big player in this category, but I was wanting to explore the free programs out there before shelling out any money.
Can anyone suggest a freeware program with ACT’s features? Ideally, it should be a standalone application, but web-based suggestions are also welcome.
Thanks!
David

Seth D asked: I recently graduated with a Management: Global Business degree and am searching for full-time formal employment. I am preparing to interview with a logistics company very soon and my research into the company reveals that it has about 28 employees, its CEO is in his later 20’s, the company was founded in 1997, and it has grown very rapidly since that time. As a recent college graduate, is it best for me to launch my career with a small, newer company or is it better to get in to a larger and more established one?

girl19 asked: Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management Track
I realize it’s not the best time to be thinking about majoring in that field, but I’m just looking at my options.
So what is the best school for that?
Like where would I get the best learning experience and everything?

John T asked: Anyone know of any good colleges (universities) that are decent and at least a little competitive in the entrepreneur/business area?
I want a campus like college experience.
Either urban or rural, doesnt matter as long as it is enclosed and has a nice campus
not around NY though cause I want to go at least 2 hours away
-Cornell is already an option for me
thats my reach school haha
a small city would be nice like boston
but i’m open really to anything
Thanks!
Oh yeah, i’d like a small to medium sized campus with little to normal amount of people there.

kajemarine15 asked: I am currently a business major (I know that is a very broad subject) but I am considering my options of choosing a specific major and then adding a minor (Ex: Major: Management, Minor: International Business) But is it REALLY worth it to even take a minor? I have heard and read a lot that says taking a minor is all hype and not worth it unless you plan on going onto a very specific career or graduate school like law school. By the time I will be done with school as of right now I will have all together:
1. A Bachelors degree (either in management or International business)
2. An Associates degree in Business: Management and Marketing
3. A Certification in Small Business Management
4. A certification in Marketing, and
5. A Certification in Management
So bottom line, IS TAKING A MINOR WORTH IT?

Kathryn L asked: I know how to manage and consult but I have never started a business for myself. I’m not sure where to start aside from buying a book. The practice I work for has grown so tremendously, largely through my efforts, I would like to have a contract in place that will secure some longivity and work for my retirement not solelyf or someone elses. I don’t want to take my show on the road I just want to maximize the potential where I’m at. The practice I work for continues to want to purchase smaller practices with me taking all the responsibility of acquisitioning them. So I think if I have the managment contract I can be better compensated when times are good and willing to take the hit if things aren’t so good. What do you think?
