Can anyone recommend a free and good content management system?

I freelance by building small websites for local businesses. I build them in HTML because they only have a couple of pages. I’m getting requests to build bigger sites that the owners would like to be able to update and am looking for a free but good Content Management System that I can use. Can anyone recommend one?

   Absolutely - Look into WordPress…. It’s not just a blogging system anymore, it’s a fully operational content management system which very large sites using it. The template customization is pretty much endless and if you liek, you can deliver the customer a great site with updatable pages plus a onsite blog within the same system.
