I have a For Dummies book for Quickbooks, but I find the breezy, folksy writing a little difficult to deal with. It’s distracting and at times it muddies the explanations because of it. I don’t recommend them.
I’m going through the same thing right now. I’m going to start bringing in a bookkeeping agency occasionally to guide me over the learning curve when I get stuck. I can do the routine tasks like bills, invoices, and reconciliations, but when it comes to the more advanced things I’m not trying to be a hero.
I’m sure there are many that you can find on the internet.
Even at your local library.
This site is part of SBA, SCORE.
The templates are all the reports ordinarily used.
They are Excel spreadsheets and can be used on site or downloaded if you use Excel.
